Visa Requirements in New Zealand

If you’re planning to study in New Zealand full time or for more than three months you’ll be requiring a student visa. Here are a few documents which are necessary to procure a student visa:
  1. Confirmation of Enrollment or Evidence of Scholarship: 
    For students enrolling in a programmer of study for the first time you need to have an offer of place form an approved New Zealand education provider.
  2. Health Certificate: 
    The health certificate for a foreign fee paying student which needs to be submitted for the New Zealand visa should be a Chest X- Ray Certificate (INZ- 1096) with a low incidence of tuberculosis. In some circumstances, you may be asked to provide a General Medical Certificate(INZ- 1007).
  3. Medical and Travel Insurance: 
    International students are required to hold acceptable medical and travel insurance as a condition of their visa.
  4. Police Certificate: 
    If you are over 17 years and intend to study and stay in New Zealand for more than two years, you must provide a police certificate to show that you are of a good character.
  5. Evidence of Funds:
    Aside from paying the tuition fee, you will require a statement of funds to show that you will be financially good enough throughout your stay in New Zealand.
  6. Passport: 
    You must have a passport that is valid for at least 3 months past the end of your intended stay in the county IE. New Zealand.
